Athena studies, develops and tests all the technologies and materials of its pistons internally, while also engineering the entire development of compatible seals. After replacing a piston, this kit, designed in perfect harmony, offers very high performance and ensures maximum reliability.

PERFORMANCE, DURABILITY, SMOOTHING

The pistons for 4-stroke Off-Road motorcycles are hot forged by reverse extrusion and produced with state-of-the-art numerical control (CNC) machines. Athena pistons are produced in silicon-based aluminum alloy that ensure reliability equal to the original and, at the same time, greater strength and excellent performance. The perfectly smooth profiles thus ensure a regular flow and ideal propagation of the flame front.
On the skirt of some pistons there is also a screen-printed surface coating in sintered Molybdenum Disulfide, which allows to increase smoothness, performance and durability, further reducing friction and noise.

The piston rings of this piston guarantee less friction with the cylinder and therefore a higher yield. The segments included, Made in Japan, are of the latest generation: in special steel with PVD coating or chromium nitrides, they adapt perfectly to the cylinder walls even with low tangential load.

SEAL, RELIABILITY

Due to its experience in the sector of over 40 years, Athena also boasts an important reputation for the reliability of its seals. The Athena gasket kits are based on solid know-how, constant technological development conducted by an internal team of engineers and designers and production carried out strictly following the strict parameters set by the manufacturers. The motorcycle emery series contained in the kit includes the gaskets necessary for the overhaul of the cylinder head and the thermal part of the engine.
